Mesothelioma Awareness Day

Every year, Mesothelioma Awareness Day is observed on September 26th with the purpose of raising awareness about mesothelioma. At MRHFM, we have exclusively dedicated our entire practice to helping mesothelioma victims and their families receive the medical, financial, and legal support they deserve. Mesothelioma is a rare and aggressive cancer caused by asbestos exposure.

Established in 2004 by MARF (Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation), this day unites survivors, families, loved ones, caregivers, advocates, healthcare providers, and many others to honor mesothelioma victims and promote research for a cure. Those observing this day often wear blue, including ribbons, wristbands, or t-shirts, to generate conversation and spread awareness about mesothelioma and the dangers of asbestos exposure. In conjunction with individual efforts, communities support this effort with the "Light the World Blue" campaign. On Mesothelioma Awareness Day, many buildings and landmarks will be lit in blue to further raise visibility and support for the cause.
